What is Memory Boost?
Memory Boost is an optional enhancement that expands both your short-term and long-term memory capacity, allowing the AI to maintain awareness of significantly more conversation context.Memory Boost is activated on a per-message basis, giving you full control over when to use it and manage costs effectively.
How to Enable Memory Boost
Enabling Memory Boost in your chat is simple and can be toggled on or off at any time:1
Locate the Memory Boost button
Look for the Memory Boost button in the chat bar at the bottom of your conversation.
2
Click to toggle
Click on the Memory Boost button to enable or disable it for your next message.
3
Send your message
When enabled, the button will be highlighted. Your next message generation will use the expanded memory capacity.

The Memory Boost setting applies only to the next message you generate. You can toggle it on and off freely between messages.
When to Use Memory Boost
You might need Memory Boost when:- The AI forgets recent events - Your character isn’t remembering what happened 50+ messages ago
- Complex plot threads get lost - Multiple storylines are running and the AI loses track
- Critical details are missed - Important character traits, relationships, or world details are being forgotten
- Long sessions hit context limits - You’re deep into a conversation and continuity starts breaking down
How It Works
Memory Boost expands your conversation’s context window, giving the AI more information to work with: Short-Term Memory gets a massive boost - your token limit increases by 66% to 100% depending on your tier. This means the AI can see more recent messages without needing to retrieve them from long-term storage. Long-Term Memory retrieval becomes more focused - instead of pulling many memories infrequently, the system retrieves fewer but more relevant memories more often throughout the conversation. Think of it like this: Standard memory gives you a wide view of your whole conversation history. Memory Boost gives you a deeper, more detailed view of recent events plus laser-focused recalls from the past. What You Get & Pricing

Best Practices
Use it strategically
Use it strategically
Don’t leave Memory Boost on for every message. Enable it during pivotal story moments, complex interactions, or when you need the AI to recall intricate details.
Monitor your Puni balance
Monitor your Puni balance
Keep track of your Puni usage, especially on higher tiers where costs are greater. Budget your Memory Boost usage for the most important conversations.
Combine with good prompting
Combine with good prompting
Memory Boost works best when combined with clear, contextual prompts. Help the AI understand what’s important in your conversation.
Test without it first
Test without it first
Try generating without Memory Boost initially. If the AI seems to lose context or forgets important details, then enable it for the next message.
FAQ
Does Memory Boost work retroactively?
Does Memory Boost work retroactively?
No. Memory Boost only affects the message you’re currently generating. It doesn’t change or enhance previous messages.
Can I leave it on permanently?
Can I leave it on permanently?
Yes, but this will consume Puni with each message generation. It’s more cost-effective to use it selectively.
Will I lose context if I toggle it on and off?
Will I lose context if I toggle it on and off?
No. Your conversation history and long-term memories are preserved regardless of Memory Boost status. You can toggle it freely.
What's the difference between more tokens and more memories?
What's the difference between more tokens and more memories?
More tokens = more recent messages the AI sees directly. More memories = better ability to recall older conversation details. Memory Boost increases tokens but adjusts memory retrieval frequency.
